Meet The Teacher Night

Last night was a big success. Imagination Station Pre-School classes officially start on Monday and boy are those kids ready! The 3 hour open house was busy the whole time. I thought we'd just have people come in here and there and then be on their way. But, the families just kept coming and then they stuck around for a while. There were many students who brought along their whole family including both sets of grandparents. Grandparents ask lots of questions (just in case you were wondering). Many of the grandmothers also signed up along with the mom's for the holiday parties coming up. The classrooms were a big hit and the parents were very impressed with the curriculum. We've got 19 children enrolled and we were able to meet with all of them. A couple of the children asked their parents to go home so that they could "go to school". I've got one little boy in my class who can speak English and Japanese, that should be interesting.
A couple of the parents are new to our area and I invited them to church, hope that works out too.
Little Mason was so cute. Kasey and I brought him along for the night since he'll be attending the pre-school as well. He was happy to have Mommy and Daddy to himself for the evening. He just walked around the place so proud with his new little school bag hanging off of his arm.
Kasey met most of the other parents as well and helped out with writing receipts and handing out cookies and lemonade. He's been so supportive of me going back to work and I really appreciate the extra effort he's putting in at home (above and beyond all of the things he normally does to help me out with the house and kids). I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I've got a good one- he's all mine.
Eric and Sonya kept Jackson and Owen for us for the evening. They also sent me flowers yesterday before the night began, thanks guys...that really meant a lot to me.

Also, this morning the teachers of Noah's Ark Pre-School stopped by for a little well wishing with my sister (she teaches there too). They really liked our classrooms and asked questions about and looked at our curriculum books as they are thinking of switching to the same type of lessons. They were all very nice and really raved about our cabinets and shelving from Perri. (Thanks Perri, you're awesome!)
