The Mommy Blues

Oh the terrible two's have struck our house with hurricane force! Little Owen is the strongest willed little guy. Keeping him off of the tree house and out of the microwave seem to be my biggest chores of the day. Except for maybe keeping the walls, furniture, blankets and everything else in our house from becoming pieces of "owen art" if he finds anything that he can use as a writing tool. However, right when you're at your breaking point and you think you might loose your ever lovin' mind, he picks that very moment to melt your heart. He asked me to bend down today for him to kiss me and when I did he pushed my cheeks together and said "chubby face mommy kiss" and gave me the biggest smooshy kiss. It was so cute.
Mason has a terrible rash on his face, arms, and legs. He looks much like a bright red lobster. He doesn't feel bad at all, he just looks bad. We took him to the park tonight and as he rode his bike around the sidewalk he made up songs. One of the best ones went something like this; "OOOOO, AAAWWW, Everyone be happy for Mexico!!"
Jax really is enjoying Kindergarten. I'm happy if he's happy. This year could set the mood for school either seeming like a chore or a privilege and I would truly like the boys to view it as the privilege that it is. He started soccer practice again this week. He has moved up to the "big kids" field now. He really likes his new coach. He's kinda "a have fun, who cares about winning" kind of guy and he makes the kids laugh alot (and the parents too).
P.S. Only one week till pre-school starts. Woohoo!
