Winter Storm 09
The snow and ice from the storm is holding on as long as it can. Right now its 8' outside and very windy. I've tried to keep up my walking schedule as much as possible. A few days I just went out on our screened in porch where our basement steps are and walked up and down the stairs listening to my ipod just to get some exercise and get OUT of this house. Saturday I finally bundled up and got to walk outside. The best thing about walking at the big cemetery close to my house is that even though they don't clear the driveway when it snows, I had the place to myself. Meaning I could walk and walk and even sing along to my music. No one else was crazy enough to be out there walking. Or maybe non of them were tired of being stuck at home with 3 rowdy boys. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And my butt never hit the pavement once (thank goodness).
There were only a certain number of things we could think up to play (quietly) in the house while Kasey ran his normal office schedule in the next room. The boys built a record number of blanket forts, played office in their room, did lots of art, watched movies and ate and ate and ate. How will we afford to feed these beasts when they become teens? Anyhoo, today was the first day back to pre-school for me and it was great to listen to the kids tell their stories of being without electricity and or water during the storm. They are so cute and they tell the best stories.
