Kasey has been out of town since early yesterday morning. Usually things go pretty smoothly when he's gone. The boys don't have to be quiet in the house because Kasey's not here in his office getting phone calls. I'm getting more used to him being gone at night, I'm not completely comfortable, but I'm doing alot better about it. Last night I loaded the boys up to go to Tastee Freeze for an ice-cream. Really I'm the one that was craving one but it was nice for them too. That morning when Kasey left at 4:30 AM the wind was really blowing so he took my window boxes out of the window sills and put them under the carport so that they wouldn't blow down. He just happened to put the flower boxes right behind my car. After loading and fastening the boys I backed right up and OVER one of my precious flower boxes. UGH! I crushed the poor thing. I knew full and well that my flowers were back there...I just forgot. I love those window boxes. Now I have 2 1/2 flower boxes left for my 4 front windows(2 1/2 because we had another mishap with them a few days back that didn't involve a vehicle). So anyway, on to Tastee Freeze I went. I took the 4 cones and one jumbo coke from the girl at the window and drove off. FYI- Jumbo cokes do NOT fit into cup holders. As I turned onto the street in front of TF my coke which was sitting beside me (which I FORGOT to hold) went flying across the front seat of my car. UGH! As I reached for it MY ice-cream cone hit the ceiling of the car smashing it into 1/2 it's original size. Oh well, at least I still had 1/2 of it. We drove the whole 2 minutes back to our house and as the boys climbed out of the back seat Mason's ice-cream fell off of his cone and onto the drive-way. His big blue eyes already welling up with tears looked up at me and I just simply handed him MY ice-cream without saying a word. "Fanx Mommy"..."You're welcome Mason" UGH! No flowers, No jumbo coke, No ice-cream. KASEY COME HOME!!!!
Tonight after church the boys and I were supposed to go to the airport to pick up Kasey. BUT, his 1st flight was delayed so much that he missed the last flight out of Chicago and now he won't be home till the 1st flight out tomorrow morning. UGH! Poor guy, his luggage has already been sent to his flight for the morning so he has no toothbrush, clothes, or most important, his cell phone charger. His phone is on it's last bit of juice, we'll see if he gets to call me later on or if I'll just have to wait to see him early in the morning. To top it all off, he was supposed to be home tonight then be back on the road for a trip to Atlanta tomorrow. So now he'll be home only a few hours before he has to leave again. Just a wierd couple of days.

Tina, aren't you glad that days like that are few and far between! It seems as if things like that run in strings around here too - with broken things. It's as if one kid drops a glass, then somebody else has to do it the next day and then a plate. One mess seems to follow another.
I've done the coke thing before. Nothing worse than seeing your Route 44 cherry coke pooled in the floor board of your car with one sad little cherry floating in the waves.
Ah Tina hang in there! I have those days too...and sometimes you just think the world must be out to get ya!! But it always turns around.
Boy howdy, ice cream in the ceiling huh? Never pulled that one. I'm with mom- messes flock together.
What a series of unfourtunate events:) :)
Just discovered your blog and I'm sure I'll be back!
Come check out my new blog!
Sorry you had such a bad time while Kasey was gone.
