Wyatt & Wayne
Tonight we went to Papaw Wayne & Grandma Karen's house for Wayne's 60th birthday. We had a Thanksgiving type dinner with all the fixins. It was nice to just hang out for a while and visit while the kids played. "Papaw" Wayne is just a good guy all around. I think he'd just about do anything for anybody. For instance, last fall Jackson took the seeds out of an apple he was eating and asked if he could call Papaw Wayne to see if he could plant the seeds out at his house (Papaw Wayne lives out in the country). After a brief conversation with Jax on the phone the two had decided that indeed the seeds would be planted. That very weekend Jackson and Wayne planted the seeds in Karen's flower bed with the hopes that if it sprouted they could move it to a more permanent spot in the yard. Jackson asks about the "tree" constantly but it hasn't started to come up yet. Wayne has said that if that tree doesn't come up (probably won't) then he'll get a little apple tree and plant it there so Jax will think it came from his seeds. That's what memories are made of. We're thankful for all Karen and Wayne mean to us and our boys. Even though our boys are not their grandchildren they treat them like they are and they never fail to make them (and us) feel loved and special. Happy Birthday "Papaw" Wayne!

That is about the sweetest thing. He is such a softy!
I can see him doing that for Jackson. He's a good man.
Isn't it great to know you can have family & they don't have to be related!
