My brother-in-law (Aaron) and sister-in-law (Stacey) have been out of town this week visiting her family in Idaho. So Friday and Saturday we took our turn with their boys (Sam & Eli). We've had a really good time with them. It's not so different, once you have 3 boys, bring em' on! Yesterday was interesting. We had one of the last CAM basketball games. Then we "drove through" DQ to bring home lunch. After lunch I ran out to the store to get some snacks for our concession stand (I forgot to mention that the boys were building a movie theater, in my house, and they needed "supplies" for the snack bar). I went and rented 4 kid movies then came home. It was cold and WET outside so I stopped by the mailbox before I pulled into the driveway. I opened the mailbox (which was VERY full of mail since I hadn't gotten it on Thurs. or Friday while Kasey was out of town...things get crazy..ya know?) Anyway, I pulled out the load of envelopes, fliers, and school supply catalogs and as I did a small, clear, plastic baggie filled with a white powder substance and tied in a single knot fell to the ground. WHAT WAS THAT? I opened the car door and picked it up. OK I don't know much but I know enough from TV to know that this little "package" was definitely not delivered by our mail lady! I put it into the side pocket of my purse and pulled into the drive-way. I brought in the snack bar items and the movies I had rented. Kasey met me at the door to help me with my arm load and noticed my look of amazement. "Someone put DRUGS in our mailbox!" (talking very quietly as not to alarm any of the 5 impressionable boys in my home) All of a sudden I'm MAD, really MAD. My neighbor (across the street from me) has 2 teenage boys who visit him a couple times a month. While they are there we've seen police cars, heard LOUD music, and watched them do dangerous tricks on dirt bikes that would give any mother a heart attack. Their mailbox is right beside ours. My first thought was that this had to be theirs or one of their friends and that it had ended up in the wrong mailbox. Then I thought, OK what happens when they realize it was in the wrong mailbox. Will they come lookin' for it? What if Kasey is out of town (he travels with work). So I put the baggie right back into my purse and drove to the police station. They were pretty shocked by the whole matter till I told them my theory on my neighbor's boys. They asked who my neighbor was. When I told them this is what I heard, from 4 officers in the room. "OOOOHHH, we'll then this could just about be anything"
That's what ya wanna hear, ugh? They tested it for cocaine and meth while I was there and said it wasn't either of those. They couldn't test it for anything else on a Saturday there in the station so they flushed it (why spend tax dollars testing a mailbox delivery, I guess). The very nice officer sent me home with police trading cards for the boys and thanked me for bringing in my "package" and please do so again shall it occur....again. What a DAY!
Today at church I announced the beginning of enrollment for Imagination Station and handed out a few registration applications. Aaron (Kasey's brother) is also the pastor of our church. He had asked Kasey to do the Sunday Morning Sermon while he and Stacey are in Idaho. Kasey had taught Bible Studies, preached Sunday evening service before, things like that, but never a Sunday Morning. He was a alittle nervous but he did great. After church we went and ate lunch then came home for a quite rest full Sunday afternoon. I had rented Facing The Giants yesterday and hadn't got to watch it so I crashed on the couch and popped in the DVD. Let me just tell you that it was GREAT! I'm not a big buyer of movies, but I WILL be buying this movie for our home and I'll be suggesting we also get it for our church library. It was a great family movie and Jackson really liked it! It was a great witness and inspiration! There is a web site on the movie box, http://www.facingthegiants.com/, check it out! The more movies that we support like this one, the more movies that will be made like this one! Have a great Monday!

Wow - that's scary! I LOVE that movie and will be buying it for the kids - probably for Easter. It was awesome.
Good movie- like it a lot. That's wild, that whole baggie thing. I don't suppose you happened to lend out a cup of powdered sugar, huh? I hope those boys are gone by the time your boys are bigger!
Andi
