My Owen

Owen has had a tough February. Just being 3 in general is tough I'm sure...especially when you have two older brothers and a mommy who is having a hard time understanding a certain little guy completely submerged in the terrible three's. But February-ugh-February. As a teacher I've never liked February. There's nothing really fun to look forward to. The kids are all over each other because they all have some sort of cabin fever (which has struck our house as well with tremendous force). Owen had a good day today though. So I thought that it would be nice to document his good day since I can't remember the last one before today (sad, I know).
Today Owen woke up happy and energetic. He didn't cry when he saw the clothes that I had picked out for him (like yesterday when he screamed for 10 minutes because of the pants Kasey had gotten out for him). He rode to pre-school excited for the day. He knew it was going to be "Under The Sea" day and also Ethan's birthday which he was sure meant that cake was a shoe in for snack time. (he settled for a chocolate chip cookie with icing on it instead) He was delighted to see that today he got to paint as well...who doesn't like a day with paint? And we read stories about sharks, whales, dolphins and his favorite The Tickly Octopus....happy boy indeed.
I love you baby....here's to many more happy days.
