When Owen woke up on Christmas morning he was devastated to find that it had not snowed. Somewhere in the processes of his 3 year old mind he thought that in order for it to really be Christmas, it had to snow. He soon forgot about the idea when we let him open presents anyway even with the lack of blustery winds and falling flakes. Until this morning that is, when he woke up to find snow outside the kitchen window. He stood there in his teddy bear pj's yelling "MOMMY LOOK!" It's Christmas Eve Now!
I just smiled and said "yeah, except without the presents this time."
Today was supposed to be a make-up day for our county's schools. We missed a day in the fall due to a hurricane (in Indiana...weird, I know). But, since today we woke up to streets covered with a light snowfall, school was indeed cancelled anyway. I'm trying to figure out if I'd rather he in my classroom with ALL the pre-school kids or here at home with my 3. ummmm. It's a toss up. Can we say 3 boys and CABIN FEVER? Owen & Mason both have had yucky noses lately so they can't go out and play in the snow today. But there isn't enough to build a snowman anyway so it's not that big of a deal. So I'm doing what any good Mommy would do. I'm leaving them with Daddy evening. To go shopping. Have fun guys!
